The calculator
Your birth date, time and place are used in your browser to work out your chart. They are not sent to us. The last chart you made is saved in your browser’s local storage so it is there when you come back; clear it any time with the "Forget my chart" link on the home page or by clearing your browser data.
The place search sends the letters you type in the place field to our server, which answers with matching towns from the GeoNames list. It is not linked to your birth date or time, and it is not stored. If you type coordinates instead, they are sent the same way to find the nearest town’s time zone.
If you ask for your chart by email or a weekly forecast, we store your email address, what you asked for, your Sun, Moon and Rising signs (to personalise the forecast), the time you signed up, and whether you ticked the separate box for offers, with the exact wording you agreed to. We send a confirmation email first and nothing else until you confirm. Every email has a one click unsubscribe link. Offers from us or partners are only sent if you ticked that box, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by unsubscribing or emailing hello@signsandskies.com.
We use Supabase to store sign ups and Resend to send email. We never sell or share your email address.
Analytics and cookies
We count page views with Vercel Web Analytics, which sets no cookies and does not track you across sites. It records the page, the referring site, and your browser, device type and country, with no personal identifiers. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
